Suffolk Poetry Society is dedicated to promoting the art of poetry and welcomes collaboration with other art forms. Today, SPS members give readings from The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam translated by Suffolk poet Edward Fitzgerald, and also read members poems inspired by this famous work. The poetry is accompanied by music performed by Virginie Roidiere, an accomplished harpist.

Admission is free with a retiring collection to defray expenses. Donations of two pounds per head are valued to maintain the series. Tea and coffee are served from 12.30pm.
